Muhammad Mazedul Haque is a Research Officer at Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS), where he contributes to policy-oriented research on foreign policy, regional affairs, and non-traditional security challenges. His work places particular emphasis on human rights and migration, while also engaging with cross-cutting issues such as emerging technologies, climate-related security risks, and governance challenges affecting Bangladesh and its wider region.

At BIISS, his research examines forced displacement, regional geopolitical dynamics, and the implications of evolving security paradigms for national and regional policymaking. He has written on a range of contemporary issues, including AI-based cybersecurity risks, the Rohingya crisis and its regional ramifications, and institutional and governance challenges in Bangladesh.
