Abdul Basit

Abdul Basit is an Associate Research Fellow (ARF) at the International Centre for Political Violence and Terrorism Research (ICPVTR) of the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He holds an M. Phil in International Relations from Quaid-i-Azam University, Pakistan. He specializes in issues related to political violence, religious extremism, and terrorism in Afghanistan and Pakistan. He has published widely on these issues nationally and internationally. He has also worked as a research analyst with Pak Institute for Peace Studies (PIPS) and Geo TV.
