Alvite Ningthoujam

Alvite Ningthoujam is a Senior Research Associate at the Vivekananda International Foundation, New Delhi, India, and focuses on Middle Eastern security dynamics, international terrorism and Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), in particular. His other research areas include Israel’s arms exports, Indo-Israeli relations, and Israeli-Southeast Asian ties. Before submitting his PhD thesis titled “Israel’s Arms Exports and the US Factor: Case Studies of China and South Africa” in July 2016 to Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), he also served as a Fellow at the Begin-Sadat (BESA) Center for Strategic Studies, Bar-Ilan University, Israel, during 2010-2011, and published a perspective paper on India-Israel defense cooperation. This fellowship was partially sponsored by the Israel Government Scholarship, 2010-2011.
