Barana Waidyatilake
Barana Waidyatilake is a Research Fellow at the Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute of International Relations and Strategic Studies (LKI), the think tank of Sri Lanka’s Foreign Ministry. Barana holds an MSc in Conflict Resolution and Governance from the University of Amsterdam and obtained his undergraduate degree in International Relations and Sociology from the University of Melbourne, with first class honors. Barana's research focuses on strategic relations in the Indo-Pacific. He has written for The Diplomat on Sri Lanka-Australia strategic relations and the implications of the Trump presidency for Sri Lanka, while his most recent analysis of the Indian Ocean Rim Association was published by the Institute of South Asian Studies at the National University of Singapore.
