Hemal Shah
Hemal Shah is a nonresident fellow with the German Marshall Fund’s Asia Program, focusing on India and the Indo-Pacific strategy. Most recently, she served as Director for Emerging Markets at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Global Innovation Policy Center. Previously, she led the U.S.-India Business Council’s advocacy efforts in trade facilitation, exploring synergies with the U.S.-India-Japan trilateral and similar partnerships with Israel and Taiwan. She also served as a Research Associate with the American Enterprise Institute’s India and South Asia program. She was recently recognized as the 2018-19 Emerging Leader by the Association of Women In International Trade in Washington, DC.
