John Holthaus

John E. “Jack” Holthaus is a 2021-2022 Federal Executive Fellow, on assignment from the United States Navy. Jack is a Nuclear Surface Warfare Officer who has deployed around the world on Guided Missile Destroyers, Cruisers, and Nuclear-powered Aircraft Carriers for the past 16 years, leading large teams of highly-trained individuals to deter aggression and preserve freedom of the seas. Most recently forward deployed to a ship homeported in Yokosuka, Japan, Jack brings a breadth of education and experience to Stimson. He earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy, M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School, and MBA in Finance and Leading Organizations from the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School.
