Zainab Najeeb

Zainab is a PhD student at the Department of Anthropology at Rutgers University. She was previously teaching ‘Introduction to Gender and Sexuality’ and ‘A Brief History of Feminist Movements in Pakistan’ at the Lahore University of Management and Sciences (LUMS) after completing her MSc in Gender, Development and Globalization from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). She has also been awarded an M.A in Gender Studies from the Central European University (CEU) in Budapest, Hungary. She has previously worked on gender equality initiatives focusing on women' mobility in urban spaces in Pakistan. Her research interests are gender, migration and displacement, digital and social activism, and political history with a regional focus on South Asia.
