Razia Sultana

Dr Razia Sultana is currently working at Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS) as a core Senior Research Fellow. Razia has accomplished her PhD under the School of Geography and Sustainable Communities at the University of Wollongong, Australia. Further attainment of her academic achievement is added by securing an Advanced Master’s degree in Development Practices from the University of Queensland, Australia. Furthermore, she has accomplished her Bachelor and Masters degrees from the Department of International Relations, Dhaka University.
Razia unfalteringly exhibited her utmost sincerity and a keen interest in research works of a multi-fold nature. In her capacity as a Senior Research Fellow at BIISS, Razia looks into foreign policy and non-traditional security issues in world affairs especially in South Asia, Southeast Asia and beyond. In addition, in many of her research works, she has amply demonstrated her research skill and tact which makes her keen to undertake research in various sub-fields such as security, foreign policy, diplomacy migration, migration, urbanization, urban greening, and ecosystem which is of interest to her. Razia has participated in various individual and collaborative security and development projects and presented scholarly research at many national and international conferences. She has quite a good number of publications to her credit in academic journals both at home and abroad.
