Sameer Patil is a Senior Fellow at Observer Research Foundation. He specializes in national security with focus on counter-terrorism and technology. He has previously worked at the National Security Council Secretariat and Gateway House. He is the author of Securing India in the Cyber Era (Routledge, 2022). He has done Ph.D. and M.Phil. in international politics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He has participated in several Track 1 and Track 1.5 dialogues, including India-U.S. and India-U.K. Strategic Intelligence Dialogues, after the 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks. In 2019, he received the Australian government’s prestigious Canberra Fellowship.
