Saurav Sarkar is a Research Assistant at the Institute of Chinese Studies (ICS), New Delhi. He holds a Masters degree in International Relations from Amity University Uttar Pradesh, in Noida, India and was awarded the Best Strategic Thinking Achiever’s Award and Silver Medal for his academic performance. He did his BA (Honors) in English from the same university. He is also qualified for Assistant Professor as per University Grants Commission – National Eligibility Test requirements. He research interests include Chinese naval strategies in the Indo-Pacific, counter-terrorism, Afghanistan-Pakistan, and China-Pakistan strategic ties. He had also previously interned at ICS. He has written a research paper on China’s South China Sea strategy and presented a paper on Chinese submarine capabilities on a panel at the 11th All India Conference on China Studies, 2018.
