Md. Shafiqul Islam

Md. Shafiqul Islam (PhD in nuclear safety) is a Professor in the Department of Nuclear Engineering at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He has also worked as Chairman in the said Department. His research interests includes thermal hydraulics safety, nuclear security culture, nuclear energy economics, and nuclear energy policy. He has nearly eight years of work experiences on research reactor operation and maintenance activities during his past job at Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC). Prof. Islam is working under various capacities of the nuclear power program of the country. He also provides expert services to the IAEA.
