Suyash Desai is a research analyst with the Takshashila Institution in Bangalore, India. He completed his M.Phil from the Centre for International Politics, Organisation, and Disarmament (CIPOD)at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. His dissertation was on India and its approach to regionalism in Asia with case studies of select organizations. He writes a weekly newsletter on the Chinese People's Liberation Army. He also has a Master's in Political Science (Honors), a bachelor's degree in journalism, as well as a diploma in international law. Currently, he is learning Mandarin and aims to complete his PhD on Chinese strategic thought.
