Tuneer Mukherjee is a Junior Fellow with the Maritime Policy Initiative at the Observer Research Foundation, New Delhi, India. His research focuses on Indo-Pacific maritime strategy, specifically looking at security paradigms and economics of the Indian Ocean Region. He was previously a researcher with the Asia Maritime Transparency Initiative at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, Washington D.C, where he analyzed India's naval modernization program, and tracked maritime disputes in the South China Sea. He was one of the first students to complete the double-master’s program from the University of Warwick, UK and the School of International Service (American University), Washington D.C., in International Relations and Asian Security. His master’s dissertation was titled — Pax Asiana: Dynamics of Maritime Security & Strategy in the Indo-Pacific.
