Abhishek Chakravarty

Abhishek Chakravarty is a post-graduate in Environmental Laws from National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam. He presently works for Sai University, Chennai as an Assistant Professor of Law and as Faculty at the Daksha Fellowship. His research interests lie in environmental law and policy, rights of indigenous people and laws relating to North-East India. He has previously worked as a Project Manager for European Union's Switch Asia Project in Assam and as a Research Associate at the Centre for Policy Research (CPR), New Delhi. He has also founded two philanthropic organisations - Law for Aid and Welfare, a social organisation promoting legal awareness and free legal aid among the marginalized sections of the society in India; and Indian Manifesto - a portal to promote opinion piece writing among young professionals and students in India.
