Akash Sahu is a researcher in Indo-Pacific geopolitics and area studies. His research includes traditional security in the region, particularly inter-state defence relationships, balance of power and terrorism; as well as non-traditional security, especially climate change, urbanisation and water. He constantly seeks to evaluate the Indian role in Asia’s evolving security architecture. He currently works with New Delhi-based think tank Council for Strategic and Defense Research (CSDR), and has previously worked with Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (IDSA) on Southeast Asian Studies. His work has appeared with leading Indian think tanks and international publications.
