Dharam Uprety

Dr. Dharam Uprety has over 20 years of professional working experience in the field of climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, Early warning system and nature-based solutions both at the national and international levels in Nepal. Dr Uprety is currently working in Practical Action South Asia office based in Kathmandu as thematic Lead for climate and resilience. Dr. Uprety did a Ph.D. in environmental sciences at the University of Natural Resources and Life sciences (BOKU), Vienna, Austria in 2006 and did a post-Doctorate Degree at the Czech University of Life sciences in Prague, Czech Republic in 2008. Dr. Uprety has been an official delegate from the Government of Nepal in COP26, COP27, and COP28. He has extensive experience of policy engagement at all levels along with international climate policy process.
