Fatima Raza is a Research Assistant at the Institute of Strategic Studies, Islamabad, Pakistan. She is pursuing her M.Phil in International Relations from the National Defense University, Islamabad. Her area of expertise is the foreign policy of major powers, particularly in the Persian Gulf and South Asia. She has organized various events, conferences, seminars, public talks and distinguished lecture series on issues of contemporary global politics at the Institute. She has also presented a research paper, ‘One Belt One Road: The Ultimate Model for Regional Connectivity’ in the International Conference on Inter-regional Connectivity: South Asia and Central Asia, organized by Government College University, Lahore in 2016. She contributes regularly to one of Pakistan’s leading newspapers, The Express Tribune, on issues of strategic importance.
