Insiyah Vahanvaty

Insiyah Vahanvaty is a socio-political commentator, analyst, and scholar with an interest in social justice and politics, particularly human rights, hate politics and democracy. Her academic research work includes a forthcoming chapter on the Politics of Post-Truth Journalism in India which is set to be published shortly by the American University of Paris. Her paper on the Imperilment of Journalists and Crisis of Press Freedom in India is set to be published by Critical Studies in Media Communication by the Taylor and Francis Group later this year.

With a background in journalism, she has worked with some of India's leading publishing houses. In addition to her academic research and writing, she currently contributes columns and analyses to various Indian and foreign publications on the topics of democracy, divisive politics, secularism, and human rights.
