Manali Kumar

Manali Kumar is a Non-Resident Postdoctoral Researcher with the Institute of Political Science (IPW) at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) in Switzerland and was a Swiss Government Excellence Research Scholar (ESKAS) in 2018-19. She has a Ph.D. in Political Science from the National University of Singapore (NUS). Her research focuses on prudence in statecraft, and India’s national identity and roles as a rising power. Previously, she was a Research Associate with the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses in New Delhi, and has also worked as a risk consultant covering India and South Asia.
