Sanoop Sajan Koshy is a Ph.D. Candidate in International Relations at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India. His research examines China's peripheral diplomacy in South Asia and the geopolitical and economic dynamics of the Belt and Road Initiative. He was awarded the Chinese Government Scholarship (2024-25) and studied as an exchange scholar at Beijing Normal University, China, where he undertook Chinese language training and conducted fieldwork. He was also a core member of the Research and Project Department of the Student Association of Belt and Road Initiative (SABRI) at Tsinghua University.
