Shairee Malhotra is a widely published Foreign Policy professional from India with an MA International Relations from Queen Mary University of London, and several years of experience in the global think tank sphere in Mumbai and Brussels. She was amongst the very few non-EU nationals to have been selected to work as a Blue Book Trainee at the European External Action Service (EEAS) - the official foreign policy wing of the European Union. She is currently Associate Researcher at the European Institute for Asian Studies (EIAS) and the 2020 South Asia Fellow at Young Professionals in Foreign Policy (YPFP). In 2017, she was honoured as Fellow by the South Asia Democratic Forum (SADF) for her research contribution. Her interests involve contemporary geopolitics, IR Theory, Indian foreign policy, EU-India relations, and South Asia. Her work has been published in Haaretz, EU Observer, The Diplomat, The National Interest, Brussels Times, Caravan Magazine, Open Democracy, Fair Observer, amongst others.
