In this series, South Asian Voices contributors review Feroz Khan’s landmark new book on India-Pakistan strategic relations, Subcontinent Adrift: Strategic Futures of South Asia. Uniquely for one volume, this book examines the security challenges faced by both India and Pakistan in isolation, as well as the strategies they have each adopted in response.

Ahead of the Stimson South Asia Program’s book launch, Afeera Firdous interviewed Feroz Khan on topics and themes covered in Subcontinent Adrift: causes and consequences of the drift between India and Pakistan, the U.S.’ and China’s roles in the region, and potential avenues for peace in South Asia. Watch their full discussion for the University of Lahore’s Center for Security, Strategy and Policy Research (CSSPR), which covers the book and its applicability to ongoing regional developments.
