Lian Jie

Jie (Jason) Lian is a graduate student at the Shanghai Institute for International Studies in Shanghai, China. He has studied public security management at the People’s Public Security University of China and international relations at the Hopkins-Nanjing Center as a Huang Chengfeng Research Fellow. He researches China’s national security, particularly non-state actors, and China-Asia relations. He has also worked for China’s police department, and is a former visiting scholar at the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) in Jakarta, Indonesia.
